Stewart Kincaid
Stewart Kincaid is a fourth generation Statesville native and resident. A career high school history and social studies teacher, when he’s not guiding students in the classroom, he’s either somewhere outside - hiking, paddling, snowboarding, or bicycling - learning a new song behind a piano or with a guitar across his lap, or painting a picture with his watercolors and pens! He’s trekked the entire length of the Appalachian Trail, along with several other shorter trails, and is always looking for a new adventure - either in the mountains or his own backyard.

Belinda Thomas
I drive my energy from nature and translate its power through painting. If I can capture that feeling of being overwhelmed, and overpowered, I have done what I set out to do. For me, the darkness in nature is as beautiful as the light layers of thin oil glazes allow me to capture that depth. My art is an experiential treat derived from my hiking thus my desire for large canvases. I want the viewer to step into the moment: feel the spray of a waterfall, hear the rush of a stream, or embrace the coolness of a shawdowy path. I want them to investigate the light and the dark. Once captured the viewer can take part in the experiance and escapte into the landscape.
